Some landlords and investors buy to let close to their home, as this allows them to be hands-on with their rental property. However, many more people look at the market and buy property in areas that are deemed accessible or which are tipped to offer a high return on investment.
Investing money in property can be an emotional activity for some people, but for most people, it is a financial investment undertaken to enjoy a healthy return. Therefore, it makes sense to look for in-demand areas, and Coventry is amongst the leading towns and cities in the country.
Coventry is a top ten option in the UK property market
A company called Springbok Properties have reviewed the UK property market, and they have deemed Coventry to be in the Top 10 in-demand areas for the UK. There are three destinations in the Midlands featured in the Top 10, so it suggests that this is a part of the country that is on the up.
When you take on board that Scotland featured strongly in the Top 10, with Glasgow and Edinburgh listed, Coventry should be seen as one of the leading English options when it comes to the property market right now.
Shepherd Ncube is the founder of Springbok Properties, who released a statement, saying; “With Brexit uncertainty taking hold on a national level, it’s interesting to see some of the less conventional areas coming to the forefront where buyer demand is concerned, and these areas are certainly benefiting from a more business as usual attitude where home selling is concerned. Looking at the capital itself, the more affordable, peripheral boroughs remain in good favour with London home buyers but prime central London, in particular, continues to pay the price of over inflated prices driven by previous market conditions.”
The Midlands is experiencing an upturn in fortunes
There is no getting away from the fact many investors are looking away from the capital, and the Midlands is on the rise. Birmingham may believe that their Golden Decade is just around the corner, but on recent findings, things look very bright in Coventry too, which is positive news.
There are many reasons why people are interested in Coventry property, with the property market experiencing interest as well as the rental market. The student population in and around Coventry is a factor that drives demand for local homes, and it is something that investors should bear in mind. The student rental market offers consistency and is seen as the backbone of the UK rental market. The nature of the demand for rental accommodation in England is changing, but the need for student accommodation is unlikely to diminish.
